Mat Pilates

About Pilates

Mat Pilates is a low impact, full body workout focused on strength, control, and mobility using your own body weight. The class centres on slow, precise movements that build deep core strength while improving posture, balance, and overall body awareness.

Pilates uses slow, precise exercises that target the deep stabilising muscles which support the spine and joints. This makes it highly effective for improving balance, coordination, and overall movement quality, as well as reducing tension and supporting injury prevention.

What you may experience in class

Full body, low impact workout using a mat
Strong focus on core strength, posture, and control
Slow, controlled movements paired with steady breathing
Exercises targeting abs, glutes, legs, arms, and back
Options and progressions to suit different ability levels
Emphasis on alignment, balance, and body awareness

Pilates Details

Welcome to Daisy’s Beginner–Intermediate Pilates class. This class the perfect place to build strength, improve mobility, and deepen your connection to movement. This class is designed for anyone who’s new to Pilates or looking to grow their foundations with a little more challenge. We focus on controlled, mindful exercises that help you strengthen your core, improve posture, and move with confidence. Every session includes clear instruction, gentle progressions, and supportive guidance so you can work at your own pace while still feeling encouraged to explore your potential. Whether you’re starting your Pilates journey or ready to level up your fundamentals, this class offers a warm, empowering space to feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected to your body — one session at a time.

Kula Is Closing.

We have some very difficult news to share.

Kula Yoga Studio will be closing at the end of March.

We are beyond heartbroken. We worked hard and put so much into building this space and to grow a genuine community around it. For personal reasons, we have decided to close the studio. It has not been an easy decision at all.

If you have an active class pass, please use your remaining sessions before the end of March. We will contact anyone we believe may be affected to make sure everything is clear.

To every yogi who has been part of Kula, past or present, thank you. Your support, your time, and your presence meant everything. The community that formed in the studio is something we will always be proud of.

We would love to see as many of you as possible on the mat over the next month. Let us practise together and show appreciation for the space and for the wonderful teachers who have given so much to it.
