Ashtanga

Intro Into Ashtanaga

Ashtanga is a steady and energetic style of yoga that follows a set sequence of postures. The familiar structure creates a natural rhythm, allowing you to settle into the practice and move with focus, strength and intention. Each posture connects with the breath, which gives the class a meditative quality even when the work feels strong.

Over time, the repetition of the sequence helps you build confidence in your movements and notice real change in how your body feels. You learn to progress at your own pace, exploring new possibilities while staying grounded in breath and awareness.

At Kula, Ashtanga is taught in a clear and supportive way. Your teacher will guide you through each part of the sequence with space to adapt movements so the practice feels accessible and safe. You do not need to know the sequence beforehand. You simply need a willingness to move, breathe and follow steady instruction.

Ashtanga suits students who enjoy a structured practice and those who feel motivated by returning to something familiar each week. It offers physical strength, improved mobility and a sense of discipline that can feel grounding and steadying. Many people also find clarity in the mental focus that develops from working through the same sequence with intention.

If you are curious about a practice that blends breath, strength and mindful repetition, Ashtanga can offer both challenge and calm in equal measure. All you need is comfortable clothing and water. Mats and equipment are provided in the studio.

Kula Is Closing.

We have some very difficult news to share.

Kula Yoga Studio will be closing at the end of March.

We are beyond heartbroken. We worked hard and put so much into building this space and to grow a genuine community around it. For personal reasons, we have decided to close the studio. It has not been an easy decision at all.

If you have an active class pass, please use your remaining sessions before the end of March. We will contact anyone we believe may be affected to make sure everything is clear.

To every yogi who has been part of Kula, past or present, thank you. Your support, your time, and your presence meant everything. The community that formed in the studio is something we will always be proud of.

We would love to see as many of you as possible on the mat over the next month. Let us practise together and show appreciation for the space and for the wonderful teachers who have given so much to it.

Thank you, to every one of you, for making this space so special.

With gratitude, Kate.x
